I have 27 American Girl dolls, 1 Bitty Baby, 9 Hearts for Hearts dolls, 5 A Life of Faith dolls, and various other types.
Where is Pleasanton?
It's in a room in our basement.
Why are some dolls historical and some modern?
I'm just really picky about the dolls being historically accurate, I love history, and I collect both modern and historical dolls.
Where do you buy all of your doll stuff?
I buy most of my dolls and their clothes from their various stores. I buy most of the furniture from thrift stores and resellers.
How do you pay for it all?
No, I'm not spoiled. I buy almost all of my doll stuff myself, unless I get one or two outfits from my parents or grandma for my birthday or Christmas. I save my allowance money, I've worked at a summer camp and I wash my parents cars for doll money. I wait for sales, and buy from resellers for good prices.
Why do all of your dolls have such long names?
I like my dolls to have full names, so I give them full names to complement their nicknames that they usually go by (e.g. Molly, given full name Mollyanna).
How do you come up with middle names for your dolls?
A lot of the time I will give a lot of thought to a new dolls' name, I'll read their books, pick a personality and style for them, then try to think of someone she reminds me of. Mia's middle name is from a ginger figure who's a friend of ours.
